| Lets take a look at the File menu
of Microsoft
FrontPage® as this is where you will start each session
working with your Web site. |
|
 |
To access your site you need to know:
[1] location, address, of
your Web site which is either your domain name (www.yourdomainname.com),
or an IP address. Always starts with "http://".
[2] your user name that
comes with your account (may be a word, a number or a combination of
both);
[3] password to access
your Microsoft
FrontPage® account.
In order to open your web site for the
first time pick "Open Web..." from the File
menu. You will be presented with the Open Web window

In the "Folder name"
field enter the location of your Web site, starting with
"http://" (http://www.yourdomainname.com).

After entering location in the
"Folder name" field, click on the "Open"
button to open the location.
Note: if you double-click a shortcut in the list it
will NOT open the site, instead you will see the directory structure
of that location.
Another way to open your site, if you
have opened it before, is to go to the File menu, move mouse pointer
to the "Recent Files >" and pick your site
from the list that will show next to this option. You can also
select a shortcut to your site from the Open Web window and
click the "Open" button. |
